Milestones Beer Festival returns to the museum’s cobbled Victorian streets on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November 2026. Entry is £12.50, which includes a festival glass and guide, and eight half-pint tokens cost £20. It is 18+ only, and there are three separate sessions, so pick the one you want when you book.

What is on

The museum promises more than 55 beers and ciders, cask ales, craft beers and ciders, plus a separate craft beer bar, hot food and live music. It names five of the breweries taking part:

  • Stardust Brewery
  • Ten Tun Brew House
  • Longdog Brewery
  • Mysterious Brewing Company
  • Powder Monkey Brewing Co.

There is takeaway beer, so you can buy more of anything you like to take home. Water, soft drinks, tea, coffee and alcohol-free options are available at the bar, and towards the end of each session the bar sells single tokens if you do not want another full set of eight.

Which session to book

The sessions are run as three separate events and each has its own character, going by the museum’s page:

All three are four hours long. The event is 18+, so this is not one for the children, unlike most of Milestones’ calendar.

What it costs

  • Entry: £12.50, including a festival glass and guide.
  • Tokens: eight half-pint tokens for £20, which works out at £2.50 a half. Single tokens go on sale near the end of each session.

The museum lists the festival as bookable now. It does not say whether tickets will be sold on the door, so book ahead rather than turning up.

Getting there, and getting home

The museum’s own advice is not to drive at all. From its event page:

  • Bus: Stagecoach 8 and 11 run from the town centre and station area towards the Leisure Park.
  • Walking: about 25 to 30 minutes from Basingstoke station, 1.4 miles.
  • Taxis: the museum lists Alpha Cars on 01256 844444 and District Cars on 01256 470470.
