One display in the borough is confirmed and on sale: Hatch Warren, Saturday 7 November, £14 an adult and £7 a child. Basingstoke town has had none since 2019.
Bonfire night 2026 falls on Thursday 5 November. A midweek fifth pushes almost every organised display onto the Saturday, and that is 7 November.
As of 4 September 2026, exactly one fireworks display in Basingstoke and Deane is confirmed, priced and bookable: the Hatch Warren and Beggarwood Community Association’s Fireworks Spectacular. There is no display in Basingstoke town centre, and there has not been one since 2019. Everything below was checked against the organisers’ own websites this week.
The one confirmed display: Hatch Warren, Saturday 7 November
The Hatch Warren and Beggarwood Community Association runs what its own website calls “Basingstoke’s biggest firework display”. Its event page gives the 2026 details in full:

The association does not publish a time for the fireworks themselves, only the 5.30pm start for the evening. Before the display there are food and drink stalls, glow-in-the-dark accessories and music from DJ Mark Halliday. Proceeds go to the community centre’s own projects.
Two practical warnings come straight from the organiser. The first is that the event “is usually a sell-out, so early booking is recommended”, and tickets went on presale to members from 1 August with general sale from 1 September, so it has already been bookable for several days. The second is about parking, and it is firm: there is no onsite parking on the night. The association directs drivers to Sainsbury’s at Hatch Warren. Accessible parking next to the site is available separately for blue badge holders, but you have to arrange it in advance by contacting the centre on 01256 811262.
There is no Basingstoke town centre display, and has not been since 2019
If you are searching for fireworks in Basingstoke itself, the honest answer is that the town does not have a display any more.
The old event was at War Memorial Park on London Road. Visit Hampshire still carries the listing for it, and the listing itself is the evidence: the page reads “The Basingstoke Fireworks 2019 have been cancelled and will not be taking place.” That notice is now seven years old and it is still the top result many people find. Nothing has replaced the event since.
Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council does not run a fireworks display either. The council’s own event road closures for this autumn cover half-term activities in late October, Baughurst’s Remembrance Sunday and the Christmas light switch-on. There is no bonfire night closure on the register.
Tadley, Kingsclere and Silchester: nothing announced
The Loddon Valley Lions have historically run a large display at Barlows Park, Silchester Road, Tadley RG26 3PX, with a bonfire, a children’s display and a best Guy competition. It is the display most people in the north of the borough mean when they search for Tadley fireworks.
For 2026 there is no date. The Lions’ own fireworks page currently returns “Sorry, that page, events/annualfireworksdisplay is not available at present”, and their events calendar for this autumn lists only public holidays, with no fireworks entry at all. Visit Hampshire’s Tadley listing is marked “this event has passed” and carries no year on it.
Be careful with what search results tell you about the Tadley date. A widely cited local news piece listing displays “around the district” gives Tadley as Saturday 7 November, along with Kingsclere at the Fieldgate Centre on Fox’s Lane and Silchester at Silchester House. That article was published on 4 November 2016. Its ticket prices, £7 an adult at Tadley and £5 at Kingsclere, are a decade out of date, and the coincidence that 7 November happens to be a Saturday again this year makes the mistake easy to make.
We will update this page the moment the Lions publish a 2026 date. Their pattern in past years has been to put the fireworks page back up in October.
What else is on that weekend
Two things clash with the Saturday, and both are worth knowing before you plan.
Milestones Beer Festival runs the same weekend, Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November at Milestones Museum on the Leisure Park. Entry is £12.50 including a festival glass and guide, with tokens at £20 for eight, and the museum promises more than 55 beers and ciders. It starts at noon, so it is an afternoon before the fireworks rather than a competing evening.
Baughurst’s Remembrance Sunday closes Heath End Road, Wellington Crescent, Bishopswood Lane and Brimpton Road on Sunday 8 November from 10.30am to midday. If you are driving through Baughurst or Heath End that morning, plan around it. Access is maintained for residents of those roads.
Getting to Hatch Warren
Long Cross Lane sits off Hatch Warren Lane in the south west of the town, a little under three miles from the town centre. The Sainsbury’s the organisers point you to is on Hatch Warren Retail Park, a short walk away, and the roads immediately around the community centre fill quickly on the night.

What is still to come
- Tadley: the Loddon Valley Lions display. Watch for their fireworks page to come back online, normally in October.
- Kingsclere and Silchester: no 2026 announcements. Both village displays have been irregular.
- School and club displays: several primary schools in the borough have run their own bonfire nights. These are usually announced in mid October through the schools themselves rather than on public listings.
